Top 10 Tuesday of Groovy Tunes: Keith Carradine is easy

Each week I feature 10 groovy tunes that have appeared on Billboard's Hot 100 chart during the last 50+ years. You can vote for your three favorites, and the five with the most votes move on to the following week when five new songs will be added to the list.

Last week Bette Midler claimed the top spot with "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", which received 26 votes out of the 162 cast. And this week she will be challenged by the Carpenters, Lesley Gore and Keith Carradine.

1) "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy"/Bette Midler (Week 2) - #30 the week of August 11, 1973

2) "California Dreamin'"/The Mamas & the Papas (LW #2, W18) - 17 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1966

3) "Walk On By"/Dionne Warwick (LW #3, W7) - 13 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1964

4) "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me"/Dusty Springfield (LW #4, W4) - #26 the week of August 6, 1966

5) "Knowing Me, Knowing You"/ABBA (LW #1, W3) - #19 the week of August 6, 1977

6) "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows"/Lesley Gore (DEBUT) - #13 the week of August 7, 1965

7) "I Saw Her Again"/The Mamas & the Papas (DEBUT) - #6 the week of August 6, 1966

What a SERIOUSLY GROOVY week for (older) music!! Marc already knows who I voted for... but I'll share for those who read the comments. =)
This week I got to vote for three of my all-time favorites: Karen & Richard; ABBA; and The Mamas & The Papas (California Dreamin').
I'm assuming not one soul is surprised by this... =)
