Top 10 Tuesday of Groovy Tunes: Duran Duran are "Hungry Like the Wolf"

Each week I feature 10 groovy tunes that have appeared on Billboard's Hot 100 chart during the last 50+ years. You can vote for your three favorites, and the five with the most votes move on to the following week when five new songs will be added to the list.

Last week Cyndi Lauper claimed the top spot with "Girls Just Want to Have Fun", which received 29 votes out of the 195 cast. And this week she will be challenged by Tracey Ullman, Olivia Newton-John and Duran Duran.

1) "Girls Just Want to Have Fun"/Cyndi Lauper (Last Week #4, W6) - #17 the week of April 21, 1984

2) "Here Comes the Rain Again"/Eurythmics (LW #5, W4) - #9 the week of April 21, 1984

3) "Material Girl"/Madonna (W2) - #13 the week of April 20, 1985

4) "California Dreamin'"/The Mamas & the Papas (W2) - #16 the week of April 16, 1966

5) "Crazy"/Patsy Cline (LW #2, W18) - 21 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1961-62

6) "Time of the Season"/The Zombies (DEBUT) - #9 the week of April 19, 1969

7) "Up the Ladder to the Roof"/The Supremes (DEBUT) - #10 the week of April 18, 1970

8) "Make a Move on Me"/Olivia Newton-John (DEBUT) - #5 the week of April 17, 1982

9) "Hungry Like the Wolf"/Duran Duran (DEBUT) - #6 the week of April 16, 1983

10) "They Don't Know"/Tracey Ullman (DEBUT) - #10 the week of April 21, 1984

Well, Marc... I believe this is the first time I've only voted for TWO songs, but after looking over the options multiple times, there just wasn't a third that impressed me enough to vote for it. So, my choices this week are Miss. Cline and The Mamas and The Papas.

Hey, Lance, sorry you weren't impressed with this week's tunes. I will try to do better next week! :)
