Top 10 Tuesday of Groovy Tunes: Aretha Franklin feels like "A Natural Woman"
Each week I feature 10 groovy tunes that reached the Top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart during the last 50+ years. You can vote for your three favorites, and the five with the most votes move on to the following week when five new songs will be added to the list.
Last week Petula Clark returned to the top with "Downtown", which received 38 votes out of the 199 cast. And this week she will be challenged by Stephanie Mills, Vikki Carr and Aretha Franklin.
1) "Downtown"/Petula Clark (Last Week #4, Week 42) - 15 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1964-65
2) "Time After Time"/Cyndi Lauper (LW #3, W22) - 20 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1984

Well, this was a different selection of tunes! I think I'm going to have to vote for Karen & Richard (natch), Stephanie (a new one for me!) and Miss. Clark. Have a groovy week, Marc! Hope you don't run out of candy tomorrow night!
