Groovy Movie Preview: Scenes from a Gay Marriage
Writer/director Matt Riddlehoover released the trailer today of his new film, Scenes from a Gay Marriage, a comedy about sex, love and adultery (and the title is a play on Ingmar Bergman's 1973 TV series/movie, Scenes from a Marriage). Riddlehoover stars as a recently single man who seeks entertainment through the sexual hijinks of his upstairs neighbors, a gay couple (played by Carson Nicely and Malachi Taylor). But when he suspects one of them is cheating, wackiness - as they say - ensues. The movie, which was shot in Nashville, also features Jared Allman, who appeared last year on the Sundance Channel's reality series, Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys. Judging from its trailer, Scenes from a Gay Marriage looks like it could be a lot of fun - and Riddlehoover's character reminds me of Diane Keaton in Woody Allen's Manhattan Murder Mystery (whenever anyone breaks into someone's apartment and hides under a bed, I always think of her).
