Courtesy of The Karpel Group and RCA Records, this week's Groovy Giveaway is five copies of Sparkle: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring "Celebrate" with Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston, Cee Lo Green's "I'm a Man" and Whitney's soul-stirring take on "His Eye Is on the Sparrow".
Opening in theaters on August 17, this remake of the 1976 classic tells the story of Sparkle (Sparks), a musical prodigy who struggles to become a star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart. From an affluent Detroit area and daughter to a single mother (Houston), she tries to balance a new romance with music manager, Stix (Derek Luke), while dealing with the unexpected challenges her new life will bring as she and her two sisters (Carmen Ejogo and Tika Sumpter) strive to become a dynamic singing group during the Motown-era.
