Live from Chicago, it's Andrea Martin and Edith Prickley!

Last night I had the great pleasure of seeing one of my favorite funny ladies, Andrea Martin, perform her hilarious one-woman show, Final Days! Everything Must Go!!, at Second City's UP Comedy Club. Featuring Seth Rudetsky, Sirius/XM radio's Broadway host, as her musical accompanist, Martin shared with us a history of her Emmy and Tony Award-winning career on stage, in films and, of course, on the 1976-84 television comedy series, SCTV. And it was so wonderful to see her portray some of her most memorable characters, including Frau Bl├╝cher (singing "He Vas My Boyfriend" from the Mel Brooks musical, Young Frankenstein), Aunt Voula (from the 2002 film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding), and from her SCTV days - repressed sexologist Dr. Cheryl Kinsey, pidgin-tongued Perini Scleroso, and leopard-print-wearing Edith Prickley. So I highly recommend that you take your mother out for Mother's Day tomorrow and see this fabulous comedienne, who has one final Chicago performance at 1 pm at UP Comedy Club (230 W. North Ave).

For tickets to Andrea Martin: Final Days! Everything Must Go!!, go to upcomedyclub.com, and for more information about Ms. Martin, visit her website, IAmAndreaMartin.com.

Below are some videos featuring Andrea Martin, including many hilarious SCTV sketches.
