Courtesy of Vantage Press, this week's Groovy Giveaway is a copy of Patty Farmer's book, The Persian Room Presents: An Oral History of New York's Most Magical Night Spot. For more than 40 years (from 1934 to 1975), an unparalleled array of performers graced the stage of this nightclub - and now Farmer has collected some great stories from many of those stars, including Diahann Carroll, Connie Stevens, Lesley Gore, Carol Lawrence, Leslie Uggams, Constance Towers, Michele Lee, Lainie Kazan, Julie Wilson, Celeste Holm, Kaye Ballard, Andy Williams and Polly Bergen.
