i don't exactly know how we are supposed to be voting - the procedure; but with all of these, for me, Sunset Boulevard wins hands down!
i was lucky to see it twice in London. the first time with Betty Buckley and John Barrowman; the second time with Petula Clark. i loved both, but it was the first time i had seen John live though i knew him from his living in Joliet and the work he did with summer workshops with high school kids from the area.
i've had a mad crush on him ever since...
Hey, Mike, THANK YOU!!!
When I first read your comment, I was confused about why you didn't understand how to vote. Then I looked at my post again and realized my BIG goof - I forgot to include the actual voting showdowns! Oh shit.
So, I've now fixed that embarrassing problem - and I hope you will return to cast your votes for Sunset!
Thanks again, Mike, for helping me out!
P.S. I have a mad crush on Mr. Barrowman, too. :)
now it makes sense. i got to do the voting as you usually set it up. i do get confused easily.
you know, John Barrowman is in and out of both Chicago and Milwaukee all the time. I'd love to meet up with him but he's here for family.
he grew up in Joliet; he and his parents/sister lived for a time in Plainfield (i think she still does live there) and now his parents live in southern Wisconsin, so he comes through to see them AND he does know Boystown, but i would bet he really couldn't be seen there. those queens would go nuts if they recognized him!!!
i don't know if he still does the summer workshops anymore, but i remember friends and kids talking about working with him and how much they learned.
even more to strengthen the mad crush for me...
