Groovy Gay Comics: Archie's Pal Kevin Keller Gets His Own Book

I just want to give BIG KUDOS to Archie Comics for giving their openly gay character, Kevin Keller, his very own book. Last September Kevin made his Riverdale debut in an issue of Veronica (click here to read my previous post), and now he will be "the star" of his own four-issue series, beginning on June 14 when #1 hits the stands. According to a recent New York Post article, storylines will deal with bullying and Kevin's coming out to his parents. And if the title does well, it just might lead to an ongoing series for Mr. Keller. Finally, all I can say is that comic books have certainly come a long way since I bought my very first one over 40 years ago (12 cents for The Flintstones - and I still own it).
