Web Series Worth Watching: 'In Between Men' (and their hot drama)
Web Series of the Week: In Between Men
Below is the second episode of the gay dramedy, which is a cross between Queer As Folk and Sex and the City. So far I'm enjoying it - especially the adorable Nick Mathews, who plays Dalton, the Carrie Bradshaw of the series (he's even got his own Italian "Mr. Big"). However, I'm not too keen on Dr. Dane's taste in men - the cute doc deserves much better. Here's hoping he finds someone more worthy of his kisses when new episodes resume after the holidays.
To watch the first episode of In Between Men, go to www.inbetweenmen.com. You can also become a Facebook fan and follow the series on Twitter.
Other web series worth watching this week are:
This week actor Lane Davies joins the cast of the sudsy soap (he is probably best known for his role as Mason Capwell on the daytime soap, Santa Barbara). For more info on The Bay, go to www.thebaytheseries.com or become a member of the series' Facebook Group.
In the latest episode, Rachel gets a new hairdo and an unexpected present, Cane learns a shocking secret about Alex, and the identity of Alex's killer is finally revealed (and I was surprised). To watch Empire from the very beginning, go to www.empiretheseries.com or subscribe to its YouTube channel. You can also become a fan on Facebook.
Steve Hayes: Tired Old Queen at the Movies
This week the marvelous Mr. Hayes reviews The Razor's Edge, a 1946 drama starring Tyrone Power, Gene Tierney and Anne Baxter. For more TOQ, subscribe to his YouTube Channel or become a fan on Facebook.
The Temp Life
In this week's episode, actor Mark Gantt steals the show as Nick's new temp, Thomas Clancy, a corporate spy who plans to sabotage the company. To watch previous episodes, go to the show's website at www.mydamnchannel.com or subscribe to its YouTube channel. You can also become a fan on Facebook.
Below are five recent episodes starring Elaine Carroll as the self-absorbed former Full House actress (and her sister, Ashley):
"Naked", in which Mary-Kate walks in on her hunky bodyguard in the shower.
"Fired", in which Mary-Kate dismisses Bodyguard.
"Hired", in which Mary-Kate is surprised to discover that Bodyguard has a new employer.
"Photo Shoot", in which Mary-Kate poses for the cover of Vogue - and Michael Cyril Creighton (who has his own fabulous web series, Jack In A Box) guest stars.
"Bath", in which Ashley takes a martini bath and Bodyguard misses her sister.
To experience Very Mary-Kate from the very beginning, go to her website, verymarykate.com. You can also become a Facebook fan or follow the series on Twitter.
Here is the third and final episode with guest star Meryl Streep as sexual orientation therapist Camilla Bowner as well as some amusing outtakes. To watch previous episodes, go to www.lstudio.com/web-therapy. You can also become a fan on Facebook.
