A New Year's Eve Kish

For my final post of 2009, I thought it would be nice to end the year with a kiss . . . and a little bit more. ABC made history yesterday by airing the first-ever gay sex scene on American daytime network television as One Life to Live's "Kish"--Kyle Lewis and Oliver Fish (played by Brett Claywell and Scott Evans, the openly gay brother of actor Chris Evans)--finally made love on New Year's Eve. They do make a cute couple, don't they?

And I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to my readers for their support and kind words in 2009. I hope you will continue to read Deep Dish in 2010, and I wish you all a fabulous new year!

It's about time. Congratulations One Life to Live who brought us a gay character by the then unknown Ryan Phillipe. The last time a standard network TV show displayed two men in bed was Thirtysomething about 20 years ago. Very nice to see!

Thanks Marc for bringing some fun glamour and the occasional sleaze to brighten up our days.
Any chance your third novel will be out in 2010? Deep Dish and Deeper Dish were two of the funnest books ever and I need more!

Well... that was just plain HOT. And on daytime TV no less! Incredibly hot! I may just have to start watching ABC, since CBS is systematically killing it's daytime soaps.

Happy, HAPPY New Year Marc... to you and your Partner & Cats. I hope it's everything you dream of -- and MORE!

XXOO, Lance

Brian, it's one of my New Year's resolutions to finish my third Deep Dish novel in 2010. Thank you so much for your kind words about my first two novels and the blog!

Nice to see American broadcast networks progressing so well.

Not sure when the first gay was shown daytime here, happens from time to time though; we did have a nice full on gay snog on Doctors only a few months back (it airs 1:45pm-2:15pm weekdays on BBC1-- 3mln viewers)
